$600 Gaming PC
Note: Prices change often, so I will try to update it as much as possible if there is any significant change in price.
Ready to step up the price from $500? Luckily, an extra $100 offers plenty of improvements. We will be using a much better cpu, graphics card and case.
CPU:
The cpu chosen is the AMD FX-6300. With six cores, you will have plenty of headroom to multitask and though games may not benefit as much, video editing programs and programs that use multiple cores will benefit significantly. By stepping up from the Pentium, you will be able to run stock clock speeds and not bottleneck the graphics card.

The Graphics card:
The graphics card this time around is the Nvidia GTX 760. Being only $40 more than a GTX 660, it is a great upgrade for the price. It will easily play most of latest games on their highest settings, while staying above 60fps. With such a powerful card, you need sufficient cooling. This Gigabyte Windforce model offered both great cooling, silence while staying within the budget.

CPU Cooler:
Though some would disagree, the FX-6300's stock cooler works fine, and even running at 50% speed, under load the cpu stayed cool. If you prefer, a reccomended upgrade would be the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo.

Motherboard:
The TA-970 is a great budget motherboard, but this model offers a UEFI Bios, while the standard model doesn't. It has 100% solid caps, and has great overall reliability.

RAM:
The ram sticks are the A-Data XPG V1. 8GB in a 2x 4gb configuration. There isn't much to say other than it offers good performance for the price. Another pro is that they are pretty sexy looking and offer a wide variety of colors.
